LSI Ecole Polytechnique
LSI Theory Group
The LSI (Laboratoire des Solides Irradiés) Theory Group conducts basic research in Condensed Matter Theoretical Physics from both an Ab Initio and an Empirical point of view.
Areas of interest are Classical Molecular Dynamics, Metropolis Montecarlo, Density-Functional Theory (DFT), Time-Dependent Density-Functional Theory (TDDFT) and Many-Body Quantum Field Theory.
The global aim is to develop the Theory , the Algorithms and the Codes for applications to Real Systems and comparison with the Experiment.
Both ground-state and excited states (spectroscopies) are studied.
The systems range from bulk to surfaces, nanostructures, molecules and atoms; from metals to insulators.
